Brooke's Poem

Heaven’s Special Child

A meeting was held, quite far from earth

“It’s time again for another birth,

Of a special child,” said the angels above

“This child will need very special love.”

Her progress may seem very slow,

Accomplishments she may not show

But she’ll get extra care,

From all the folks she meets down here

Oh let’s be careful where she’s sent,

We want her short life to be content

We’ve got the parents to do the job

Although they may not realize it straight away,

The leading role they have to play.

But soon they will know the privilege given

In caring for this gift from Heaven

Their precious charge so meek and mild,

Xantha is Heaven’s Special Child.
